India is set to experience significant weather changes over the next few days. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and heatwaves in various parts of the country. According to IMD, strong thunderstorms, lightning, and winds with speeds of 30-60 km/h are expected on April 1 and 2 in multiple regions.
Weather Update from IMD
The IMD has warned of strong winds and lightning in several areas and advised residents of affected states to remain cautious and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities.
Regions Expected to Experience Heavy Rain and Storms
On April 1 and 2, the following regions are likely to witness thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds:
- Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, and Rayalaseema
- Between March 31 and April 2, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam are also expected to experience heavy rains and thunderstorms.
