Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for eight districts in Kerala today, warning of heavy rains, thunderstorms, and strong winds. Residents are advised to stay cautious as intense weather conditions are expected to continue throughout the day.

According to the IMD, isolated heavy rainfall is likely across several parts of the state. The adverse weather is being caused by the cyclonic circulation over the Arabian Sea, which is bringing moisture-laden winds into the region.
Along with heavy rain, the IMD has also predicted:
