Bengaluru: In a lighthearted moment within the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) camp, young cricketer Swastik Chikara surprised his teammates by casually using Virat Kohli’s perfume—without asking for permission.

Following RCB’s dominant seven-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2025 season opener, the team had time to relax and engage in fun activities. It was during this downtime that Chikara, a 19-year-old player picked by RCB for ₹30 lakh, boldly opened Kohli’s bag, grabbed his perfume, and sprayed it all over himself—right in front of the star cricketer.

His actions left the RCB dressing room in fits of laughter. Fast bowler Yash Dayal recalled, “We were sitting in the dressing room after our last game in Kolkata when Swastik suddenly took out a perfume bottle from Virat bhai’s bag and used it without even asking. Everyone was stunned and laughing.”

RCB captain Rajat Patidar added, “Virat bhai was right there. I was wondering what this guy was doing!”

Defending himself with humor, Chikara explained, “He’s our elder brother, isn’t he? I was just making sure he doesn’t use a bad one. I tried it first and told him it was nice!”

While many wouldn’t dare to touch Kohli’s belongings without permission, Chikara’s playful confidence added a fun twist to RCB’s post-match celebrations.
