Bengaluru – A festive Holi gathering at an under-construction site in Sarjapur took a violent turn, leaving three labourers dead following a drunken brawl. The police have launched an investigation into the incident, with one suspect already in custody.

Altercation Erupts Amid Festivities

The unfortunate event took place on the third floor of Poorva Wall Avenue Apartments, where a group of labourers from Bihar had been celebrating Holi. Reports suggest that after consuming alcohol, an argument broke out among them, quickly escalating into a violent clash.

The deceased have been identified as Ansu (22), Radhe Shyam (23), and Deepu, all originally from Bihar. Investigators found evidence of a brutal fight, with wooden sticks and iron rods used as weapons.

Gruesome Crime Scene Shocks Authorities

Police sources revealed that one body was found in the apartment corridor, while the other two were discovered inside a room, both covered in blood. Another worker sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.

Authorities suspect that a personal dispute may have fueled the fight, turning what began as a festive celebration into a deadly confrontation. Bengaluru Rural SP CK Baba and Additional SP Nagesh Kumar visited the crime scene, with a dog squad assisting in gathering crucial evidence.

Hunt for Missing Suspects Underway

While one suspect has been taken into custody, the police are actively searching for two others who fled the scene. Investigators are working to uncover the exact sequence of events that led to the tragic deaths and whether any prior tensions contributed to the violence.

The case highlights the darker side of festival celebrations when excessive alcohol consumption and personal conflicts spiral out of control. Authorities have urged caution and responsible behavior during public gatherings to prevent similar incidents in the future.
