Bengaluru’s Namma Metro Pink Line, a 21.25 km corridor under Phase 2 of the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) expansion, is set to transform the city’s public transport system. Designed to ease traffic congestion, the project is progressing in two phases, with revised timelines for completion.

Revised Timeline for Completion

Initially scheduled for a later launch, the Pink Line’s first phase—covering 13.92 km with six underground and six elevated stations—is now set to be operational by December 2025. The second phase, spanning 6.98 km with six elevated stations, is expected to be completed by December 2026.

Once fully operational, the Kalena Agrahara (Gottigere)–Nagawara stretch will offer seamless connectivity across key areas, significantly benefiting daily commuters. Construction is progressing well, particularly on the Kalena Agrahara–Tavarekere stretch, which features six stations.
