Bengaluru: If Assembly elections were conducted today in Karnataka, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is predicted to return to power by defeating the Congress in a clear two-party contest, according to a recent survey conducted by Hyderabad-based People’s Pulse and Codemo Techno.
The survey indicates that the Janata Dal (Secular) or JD(S) would lag far behind the two main contenders, continuing to play a marginal role in the state’s political landscape.
Political analysts see this as a reflection of the BJP’s growing influence and the polarisation of votes primarily between BJP and Congress, leaving little room for regional parties to gain ground.
The survey provides fresh insights into voter sentiment ahead of the much-anticipated Karnataka Assembly elections, highlighting key battlegrounds and voter preferences across constituencies.
