Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah laid out an ambitious 1,000-day development roadmap aimed at transforming the state’s infrastructure, water accessibility, and industrial leadership. His vision, presented in a speech intended for the NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting, highlights Karnataka’s strategic goals across sectors.
One of the key targets includes achieving 100% piped water supply to households across the state — a major public welfare and infrastructure milestone. In addition, the Chief Minister revealed a bold ambition to make Karnataka the Electric Vehicle (EV) capital of South Asia, signaling a major policy push toward sustainable mobility and green technology.
Although the NITI Aayog meeting was postponed, Siddaramaiah shared the roadmap through public platforms, underscoring its importance.
The speech also emphasized Karnataka’s leadership in digital innovation, clean energy, and inclusive development. Siddaramaiah reaffirmed his government’s commitment to aligning state goals with national developmental priorities, particularly in improving healthcare, education, and job creation.
This roadmap comes at a time when Karnataka is positioning itself as a national leader in tech-driven governance and industrial transformation, and it reflects the state’s broader intent to accelerate growth through focused, measurable initiatives over the next 1,000 days.
