Air India has announced additional international flights to Toronto, Frankfurt and Paris as airlines continue adjusting schedules amid disruptions caused by the ongoing West Asia conflict.

The Tata-owned airline said the extra services are aimed at meeting strong passenger demand while offering more travel options for those affected by changing flight routes and regional airspace restrictions.

Extra Flights to Key Global Destinations

According to the airline, three additional flights will operate between Delhi and Toronto from March 5 to March 11.

Air India will also run three extra services between Delhi and Frankfurt, along with one additional flight connecting Delhi and Paris (Charles de Gaulle Airport) between March 7 and March 10.

The airline said these services will provide passengers with improved connectivity to destinations across its domestic network in India as well as Southeast Asia.

Adjustments Due to Regional Conflict

Airlines worldwide have been revising their schedules and flight paths due to tensions and security concerns in West Asia.

To maintain operations safely, Air India has been taking longer alternative routes to reach North America and Europe. Flights are currently being routed through Oman, Saudi Arabia and Egypt to avoid affected airspace.

The airline said it continues to monitor the situation closely and may introduce more additional flights if demand remains high after March 11.

Relief Flights for Stranded Passengers

Earlier this week, Air India also operated special relief flights to assist passengers stranded due to travel disruptions caused by the crisis.

The airline deployed wide-body aircraft, including Boeing 777 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner jets, on extra services connecting Mumbai and Delhi with Jeddah and Dubai.

These aircraft can carry between 250 and nearly 350 passengers, helping the airline accommodate a larger number of travellers.

Global Operations Continue

Despite the disruptions, Air India has resumed scheduled operations to its destinations in the United States, Canada, Europe and the United Kingdom.

The airline said it will continue to evaluate the evolving situation in West Asia and adjust its flight schedules accordingly to ensure passenger safety and convenience.
