Maserati has officially launched its much-anticipated convertible supercar, the MC20 Cielo, in the Indian market. Priced at ₹5.31 crore (ex-showroom), the MC20 Cielo merges Italian craftsmanship with cutting-edge performance, adding a new dimension to India’s luxury auto segment.

Standout Feature – The Retractable Glass Roof

The MC20 Cielo is a convertible version of the MC20 coupe, equipped with a state-of-the-art retractable electrochromic glass roof that transforms from clear to opaque at the push of a button. The roof opens or closes in just 12 seconds, offering both open-air thrills and all-weather versatility.

Powertrain and Performance

  • Engine: 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 “Nettuno”
  • Power Output: 630 hp
  • Torque: 730 Nm
  • 0-100 km/h: ~3 seconds (0.1s slower than the coupe)
  • Top Speed: 320+ km/h

The convertible setup adds 85 kg to the coupe’s weight, totaling 1,560 kg, slightly affecting acceleration but not compromising on performance thrills.

Design and Limited Edition

The glass roof of the MC20 Cielo measures 909 mm x 615 mm, a departure from the usual cloth or steel used in convertibles. The model also retains all the features and customisation options of the MC20 coupe launched in 2023.

Additionally, Maserati will release a limited edition “PrimaSerie” variant, capped at 60 units globally, featuring exclusive badges and styling elements for collectors.

The Maserati MC20 Cielo sets a new benchmark for supercar enthusiasts in India, blending high-speed performance with luxury aesthetics and innovative technology.
