India to Welcome Its First Universal Studios Theme Park Near Gurugram
In an exciting development for entertainment enthusiasts, Universal Studios is set to make its debut in India with the opening of its first theme park in the country. The park will be located near the Dwarka Expressway in Haryana, just a short distance from Delhi-NCR. According to the Chief Minister of Haryana, this venture will be a major development project in the region, specifically near Gurugram.
The project is being overseen by the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC), which has already initiated the planning of the necessary infrastructure surrounding the site. This world-class theme park will be part of a massive indoor complex housed within a 3-million-square-foot mall. Bharti Enterprises is expected to lease around 300,000 square feet of the facility to create the Universal Studios amusement park.
This exciting new addition will make India one of the few countries to have a Universal Studios park. Currently, Universal Studios has locations in the United States, Japan, Singapore, and China. The Indian theme park will feature themed zones, thrilling rides, live shows, and family-friendly attractions similar to the ones in Universal Studios parks in Osaka and Hollywood.
The arrival of Universal Studios in India is expected to have a significant impact on the local economy. It will generate numerous job opportunities and contribute to the growth of surrounding businesses, including hotels, transportation services, and shopping centers. Additionally, the park’s location in Gurugram offers convenient access to the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi Metro, and major highways, making it easily accessible for both locals and tourists.
This development marks a major milestone in India’s entertainment landscape, providing a new world-class destination for tourists and creating a ripple effect across the region’s economy.
