India has marked a stronger presence in the global aviation landscape, with four of its major airports featured in Skytrax’s World Airport Awards 2025. Leading the list from India is Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, which climbed to 32nd position globally, up from 36th last year.

The rankings are released annually by Skytrax, a global air transport rating agency, based on customer satisfaction surveys. While Indian airports did not break into the top 20, their steady progress signals growing global recognition.

Following Delhi, Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport came in at 48th, showcasing its eco-inspired Terminal 2 with lush greenery and open architecture. Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport ranked 56th for its cleanliness and smooth service, while Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport moved up to 73rd thanks to its unique architecture and enhanced passenger facilities.

At the top of the list, Singapore’s Changi Airport regained the No. 1 position, celebrated for its unmatched blend of luxury, entertainment, and efficiency. Changi also bagged awards for Best Airport Dining, Best Washrooms, and Best in Asia. Qatar’s Hamad International and Tokyo’s Haneda rounded out the top three.

Asian airports dominated the upper rankings, while Paris Charles de Gaulle was the top-ranked airport from Europe at No. 7. Vancouver International, at 13th, was the only airport from the Americas to make the top 20. Cape Town Airport led in Africa, noted for staff service and regional excellence.
