New Delhi: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has raised alarm over repeated violations of security protocol by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his foreign visits. The force has warned that such lapses could leave him vulnerable to serious security threats.

In a formal letter to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, the CRPF outlined its concerns, noting that Gandhi — despite enjoying Z+ category protection with an Advance Security Liaison (ASL) team — has not consistently adhered to mandatory security procedures.

A separate communication was also sent directly to Gandhi, highlighting that these lapses are a matter of “serious concern” for his safety.

The letter listed destinations such as Italy, Vietnam, Dubai, Qatar, London, and Malaysia, where Gandhi had traveled either for personal engagements or political outreach.

According to the “Yellow Book” protocol, individuals under high-security cover must inform their security wing well in advance about all travel plans — including international tours — so necessary arrangements can be made. Officials allege that Gandhi has failed to comply with these requirements on multiple occasions.

The CRPF has urged immediate corrective measures to ensure his safety during both domestic and foreign movements.
