Bengaluru: In a move to enhance connectivity across the city, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has rolled out five new non-AC bus services. The new routes are designed to improve access for daily commuters, particularly in areas currently underserved by public transport.

Here are the newly introduced routes:

  • Route 301-B: Two buses will run between Shivajinagar and Kalkere, covering stops like Coles Park, Maruthi Sevanagar, Banaswadi, and Horamavu Outer Ring Road.
  • Route 401-N: Operating between Kalyananagara and Kempegowda Bus Station (Majestic), this service will go via Hennur, Lingarajapura, and Frazer Town.
  • Route 241-G: Connecting Bagalagunte and Kengeri, the bus will pass through Nagasandra, Peenya, Jalahalli, and Nagarabhavi.
  • Route 501-K: This service links Banashankari and Hoskote, taking a route via Uttarahalli, KR Puram, and Kadugodi.
  • Route 222-F: Running between Electronics City and KBS, this route covers Bommasandra, Silk Board, and Richmond Circle.

These routes aim to reduce travel time and enhance affordable transport options in both central and peripheral areas of the city.
