On April 10, Bangladesh’s interim government Commerce Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin stated that India’s decision to cancel trans-shipment facilities would not adversely affect Bangladesh. He emphasized Dhaka’s resilience and readiness to adapt through alternative strategies and routes. While the trans-shipment agreement had facilitated the movement of Bangladeshi goods through Indian territory to northeastern states, Uddin reiterated that Bangladesh will engage in diplomatic discussions and maintain trade flow through existing or new logistics options.
