Kochi – The ongoing wave of student migration to foreign countries is not an issue limited to Kerala but a broader national concern, according to the RSS-affiliated Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas (SSUN). In a statement ahead of its upcoming national education conference in Kochi, the organization stressed that addressing the root causes behind the trend requires a pan-India approach.

The SSUN, which works to promote Indian values in the education system, said that factors such as lack of research opportunities, inadequate academic infrastructure, and limited global exposure are pushing Indian students to seek better prospects abroad.

The Kochi meet, scheduled for this weekend, will bring together academics, policy makers, and thought leaders to deliberate on ways to retain talent within India and enhance the country’s higher education framework.

SSUN officials noted that while Kerala has been prominently affected by the migration wave, similar patterns are emerging across several other Indian states.
