Alappuzha, April 7, 2025 – In a truly inspiring story of intelligence and passion, six-year-old Hamad Vailil from Mannancherry, Kerala, has caught public attention for his extraordinary memory and knowledge. At an age when most children are just beginning their formal education, Hamad can identify 101 countries by their flags, capitals, and even the airline names of over 60 nations just by seeing their logos.
The son of Naufal Noushad and Tasleema, Hamad developed a deep interest in global geography and aviation at a very young age. Watching his father, who works with a travel agency named Insight Voyages, handle visas and airline tickets sparked Hamad’s curiosity. What began as simple questions soon turned into a dedicated learning journey supported wholeheartedly by his parents.
Hamad’s knowledge spans countries from Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America, including lesser-known nations like Uganda, Zimbabwe, Guatemala, Papua New Guinea, Laos, Turkmenistan, and Macedonia. He not only knows their capitals and flags but also recognizes airline logos with impressive accuracy.
A UKG student at Al Hidaya Public School, Ponnad, Hamad stunned guests during the school’s convocation ceremony, which was attended by Alappuzha DYSP Madhu Babu, school chairman A. Muhammed Kunju, manager Muhammed Asif Ali, PTA members, teachers, and fellow students. His flawless presentation earned him widespread applause and admiration.
Recognizing the uniqueness of his talent, the school authorities are now working to submit Hamad’s performance for inclusion in the Asia Book of Records.
Apart from his love for travel and geography, Hamad spends time studying globes and maps, absorbing details about different cultures and destinations with remarkable focus.
This young prodigy is a glowing example of how early curiosity, when nurtured with the right support, can evolve into exceptional knowledge and talent. Hamad’s story continues to inspire parents and educators to encourage children’s interests beyond conventional academics.
