Former US President Donald Trump has shared a dramatic video on his X (formerly Twitter) account, showing what appears to be a precision US airstrike on Houthi militants in Yemen. The post, which quickly gained millions of views, claimed the targeted group was preparing for an attack.

“These Houthis gathered for instructions on an attack. Oops, there will be no attack by these Houthis! They will never sink our ships again!” Trump wrote in the caption.

The post comes amid ongoing US military operations in Yemen, aimed at neutralizing threats posed by Iran-backed Houthi rebels. The Houthis have been behind several attacks on military and commercial vessels in the Red Sea, which they claim are in solidarity with Palestinians amid the Gaza conflict.

According to reports, the US has carried out over 200 airstrikes on Houthi targets since mid-March. A recent strike in the Hodeidah region allegedly killed 70 militants, including key commanders and operatives from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

In response to the continued threats, the Pentagon has ramped up its regional military presence. Warships like the USS Harry S Truman and USS Carl Vinson have had their deployments extended, and missile defense systems have been repositioned to deter further aggression.

While the US defends its operations as necessary for maritime security, humanitarian groups warn of worsening civilian conditions in Yemen due to the ongoing bombings. Civilian casualties are rising, sparking global concern.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon’s Office of Inspector General has launched an investigation into Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s alleged use of the encrypted messaging app Signal to discuss airstrike planning, raising questions over operational protocol.
