Following the expiration of a ceasefire, Israel has intensified its military operations in Gaza, launching a combination of airstrikes and ground offensives. Hundreds of people have been killed in the latest attacks, with Israeli forces targeting key Hamas infrastructure and leaders.
Israeli airstrikes reportedly eliminated several top Hamas commanders, including Yasser Muhammad Harb Musa, who was involved in the group’s security operations, and Muhammad Al-Jamasi, a senior figure in Hamas’ Emergency Committee. The IDF also claimed to have destroyed the command center of Hamas’ Daraj Tuffah battalion, a facility allegedly used to plan attacks on Israeli civilians.
As ground forces push further into central and southern Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signaled that military operations will continue despite ongoing negotiations for another ceasefire. The Israeli government has warned Hamas to return the hostages still in captivity, with Defense Minister Israel Katz issuing what he called a “final warning.”
With US support for Israel’s actions reaffirmed, the situation in Gaza remains highly volatile, with no immediate resolution in sight.
