In a major anti-narcotics operation, Kerala Police seized 1.66 kg of high-grade MDMA from a house in Ayanikkad near Kondotty, Malappuram district, on Monday morning (March 10, 2025).
The synthetic drugs, valued at over ₹70 lakh, were linked to an alleged smuggling network operated by 27-year-old Ashique P. Umer, a supermarket owner with suspected international ties in Oman. The bust has shed light on an intricate drug trade operating in the region.
