Rising star Tripti Dimri has officially joined Prabhas as the female lead in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming pan-India film Spirit, replacing Deepika Padukone, who reportedly opted out due to high remuneration demands.
Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for blockbuster hits like Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, and Animal, confirmed Tripti’s casting via an official poster reveal shared by the Spirit team today. The film is set to go on floors in September 2025, with an estimated budget of ₹400 crore, making it one of the most ambitious Telugu films in development.
Tripti Dimri, who gained widespread recognition for her role as Zoya in Animal, is reuniting with Vanga for this high-octane action drama. Sources close to the project said that the director was eager to collaborate with Tripti again due to the overwhelming response to their previous work.
Initially, Deepika Padukone was in advanced talks to star opposite Prabhas. However, reports suggest her exit was due to budget concerns and other “unprofessional” demands, which the production team could not accommodate.
Tripti’s addition to the film is being seen as a strategic and exciting move, positioning her transition from a promising Bollywood actress to a full-fledged pan-India star.
Meanwhile, Prabhas is gearing up for multiple major releases including The Raja Saab, Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2, and Salaar: Part 2, further fueling excitement around Spirit.
Fans and industry insiders are now looking forward to how the chemistry between Prabhas and Tripti will unfold on screen, especially under Vanga’s intense and emotional storytelling style.
