Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson etched his name in IPL history on Tuesday, May 20, during RR’s final league match of the IPL 2025 season. The Kerala-born wicketkeeper-batter became the first-ever player to score 4000 runs for Rajasthan Royals, accomplishing the milestone against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Delhi.
Samson, playing his 149th match for the Royals, needed just 15 runs to reach the milestone and crossed it in style by launching a six off Ravichandran Ashwin during the seventh over of the 188-run chase.
