Nandi Hills, a beloved weekend retreat for Bengalureans, is receiving a fresh makeover as it prepares to host the Karnataka Cabinet meeting on June 19. The scenic hill station is buzzing with activity, from the base to the summit, as government departments spring into action to enhance its appearance and infrastructure.
On Friday, several departmental teams were hard at work on the site. The Public Works Department (PWD) was seen improving the shoulder areas of the road leading up to the hill, ensuring smoother access. Meanwhile, the Horticulture Department brought in lush green lawns to be installed in front of a local restaurant, along with an array of ornamental plants sourced from Lalbagh’s nursery.
From pruning overgrown trees to sprucing up public areas and pathways, the entire area is undergoing a visual transformation in anticipation of the high-level meeting. The initiative not only ensures a presentable venue for state ministers but also benefits the thousands of visitors who frequent the spot.
With its misty charm and panoramic views, Nandi Hills is poised to become the backdrop for key policy discussions—marking a rare blend of nature, governance, and civic pride.
