Bengaluru Urban district administration has reclaimed more than 200 acres of government land that was previously encroached upon across various locations in the district. Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesha confirmed the recovery on Monday, marking a significant effort to restore public property.

The recovered land spans multiple sites where encroachments had taken place over time. This move is part of an ongoing initiative by the district authorities to safeguard government assets and prevent unauthorized occupation.

Efforts to identify, survey, and clear encroachments are being closely monitored by the administration to ensure that such incidents do not recur. The recovered land will now be preserved and managed according to government regulations.

This development is seen as a positive step in strengthening land governance and reinforcing the rule of law in Bengaluru Urban.
