The Kerala Police’s special anti-drug campaign, ‘Operation D-Hunt,’ has resulted in 8,931 arrests and the registration of 8,646 cases across the State.
During the first phase of the operation on January 27, 2024, authorities checked 1,820 individuals, leading to the arrest of 285 people in 281 cases. The crackdown also led to significant drug seizures, including 28.81 kg of suspected ganja, 85.93 grams of suspected MDMA, 147 ganja beedis, 3,624 tobacco packets, 60 grams of suspected brown sugar, and 13.55 grams of suspected hashish oil, according to police reports.
