Bengaluru: A temple in Karnataka’s Raichur has received an overwhelming donation of ₹3,48,69,621 in cash, along with 32 grams of gold and 1.24 kg of silver.

A viral video captures over a hundred priests counting the donations at the revered Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, where thousands of devotees made offerings over a month-long period to mark the birth anniversary of 16th-century saint Raghavendra Swamy.

Last year, the temple also welcomed notable visitors, including former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife, Akshata Murty. They were accompanied by Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy and Rajya Sabha MP Sudha Murthy as they performed the aarti at the temple.

The generous offerings highlight the deep devotion of followers and the temple’s continued significance in Karnataka’s spiritual landscape.
