Reliance Jio has introduced a new ₹100 data-only recharge plan, offering users 5GB of high-speed data and a 90-day Jio Hotstar subscription. This move comes after Jio quietly removed the basic JioCinema benefit from all its existing recharge plans following the JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar merger.
The plan, now listed on Jio.com, is valid for 90 days and allows users to stream web series, movies, and live sports—including IPL 2025—on both smartphones and smart TVs at up to 1080p resolution. Unlike the Jio Hotstar mobile plan priced at ₹149, which restricts streaming to mobile devices, this new plan offers a more flexible viewing experience.
However, the ₹100 recharge does not include calling or SMS benefits, requiring users to have an active base plan. For those seeking more data, Jio’s ₹195 cricket data pack offers 15GB of 4G/5G data along with a 90-day Jio Hotstar mobile subscription, though it is limited to mobile streaming.
This plan presents an affordable option for Jio users who want to enjoy premium content, especially with IPL 2025 around the corner. By bundling additional data with a Hotstar subscription, Jio has made live sports and entertainment more accessible across devices.
