The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has arrested Tarun Raju, the grandson of Atria Hotel’s owner, in connection with a high-profile gold smuggling case in Bengaluru. His arrest follows the recent detention of Kannada actor Ranya Rao, who was caught at Kempegowda International Airport with gold bars worth ₹12.56 crore.
Sources indicate that Raju was closely associated with Rao and is now under investigation for his alleged involvement in the smuggling operation. Authorities are continuing their probe to uncover further links in the case.
