New Delhi/Bengaluru: Honeywell has launched its first-ever CCTV camera series that is both designed and manufactured in India, marking a strategic move to support domestic innovation and security infrastructure. The new 50 Series CCTV camera portfolio is developed at Honeywell’s global development center in Bengaluru and built in collaboration with Indian EMS partner VVDN Technologies, which also contributed to the hardware design.

“This launch reflects our long-term vision to provide cutting-edge, secure, and locally relevant security technologies in India,” said Vimal Kapur, CEO and Chairman of Honeywell. “It underscores our deep-rooted engineering expertise and strong partnerships within India’s growing tech ecosystem.”

AI-Powered Surveillance for Key Sectors

The 50 Series cameras come equipped with intelligent video analytics, enhanced imaging performance, gyro-sensor-based stabilization, and advanced cybersecurity features. These next-gen systems are tailored for use across government, healthcare, education, real estate, commercial, and transportation sectors.

The product line includes both dome and bullet cameras, available in 3MP and 5MP resolutions, offering versatile solutions for diverse surveillance needs.

‘Make in India’ Push Aligned with National Vision

In celebration of the launch, Kapur and senior Honeywell leaders met with Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Electronics and IT, in New Delhi. The Minister lauded the initiative as a step towards India becoming a global hub for product innovation.

“We’re working to position India as a true ‘product nation’. Honeywell’s India-made CCTV range is a significant milestone,” said Vaishnaw. “We encourage the industry to Design in India, Make in India, and Make for the World.”

Expanding Security Offerings

This launch comes on the heels of Honeywell’s 2024 acquisition of Carrier’s Global Access Solutions business, including LenelS2. With the addition of the 50 Series, Honeywell strengthens its role as a key OEM in the global electronic security landscape.

From critical infrastructure to smart cities, Honeywell’s latest offering positions it as a trusted partner in India’s digital and physical security evolution.
