Bengaluru, Karnataka – In a significant enforcement action, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) carried out a detailed inspection at a FirstCry warehouse located in Bheemakkanahalli Village, Sulibele Hobli, Hoskote Taluka, Bangalore Rural District.

The inspection, which lasted the entire day, concluded at around 9:00 PM IST. Officials seized items valued at approximately ₹90 lakh, citing non-compliance with BIS standards for certain products.

FirstCry, a leading e-commerce platform specializing in baby and kids’ products, confirmed the raid but assured that its business operations were not impacted by the search. The company stated it is cooperating with authorities to ensure full compliance with applicable regulations.

The BIS has yet to issue an official statement detailing the nature of the seized goods or potential legal actions following the inspection.
