- Bengaluru Set for Rain and Str ...

Bengaluru residents can expect relief from the scorching heat as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning on Wednesday. With daytime temperatures hovering around 36°C and nighttime temperatures at 20°C, the showers are expected to cool the city and lower mercury levels over the next two days.
Heavy Rain, Strong Winds Expected in North Karnataka
Meanwhile, North Karnataka is set to experience intense rainfall, hailstorms, and gusty winds in the coming days. Between April 2 and 3, districts including Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Bagalkote, and Vijayapura are likely to witness thunderstorms with wind speeds of 40-50 kmph.
Additionally, coastal regions such as Uttara Kannada, Udupi, and Dakshina Kannada will see heavy showers, with isolated hailstorms possible. As the weather system strengthens, moderate rainfall is expected to spread across North Karnataka, bringing widespread precipitation and relief from the heat.
IMD Issues Precautionary Advisory
The IMD has warned of potential disruptions due to strong winds and heavy rainfall, urging residents to take necessary precautions. While some isolated areas may remain dry, most regions will see significant rainfall over the next few days.
