The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) made a third arrest on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in connection with the gold smuggling case involving Kannada actor Ranya Rao.
Authorities detained a gold dealer from Ballari for allegedly helping Ranya Rao dispose of smuggled gold. The actor was previously arrested on March 3 after being caught with 14.2 kg of gold at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). The investigation is ongoing as officials trace further links in the smuggling network.
